New Awards Address Antibiotic Use, Alzheimer's Disease and Allergies

The Wisconsin Partnership Program is pleased to announce three new Collaborative Health Sciences Program awards. This year’s awards focus on novel approaches to three significant public health issues: antibiotic use in nursing homes, the role of gut bacteria in Alzheimer’s disease and how farm-related exposures during childhood influence allergic disease.

Grantee Spotlight

Research shows that developing strong social and emotional learning skills help children succeed in school and throughout life. Families in Door County now have the opportunity to learn about and develop these important skills through a project funded by the Wisconsin Partnership Program.

Changes to Our Accounting Team

The Wisconsin Partnership Program is pleased to announce that Debbie Wu has been promoted to Senior Financial Specialist. In this role Debbie will be responsible for financial grants management and will work with grantees to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, including allowable and unallowable grant expenses, nonsupplanting, no-cost extensions and budget revisions.

She joined our team in May 2016 with a focus on reviewing community grantee expenditures and is looking forward to learning more about the education and research grants as well. Please direct any financial-related inquiries to Debbie at dfwu2@wisc.edu or (608) 265-8109.
