Community Strategic Plan

Council is currently reviewing the Community Strategic Plan, which outlines the community's vision and Council’s priorities and aspirations for the next 10 years and beyond.

To ensure all community voices are heard, Council will be reaching out to the wider community with a number of engagement activities, including an online survey, focus groups, a youth summit and a community panel.

The engagement activities, together with our consultations, will allow Council to create a draft Community Strategic Plan that is truly informed by, and reflective of, our local Strathfield community.

For more information and how you can be involved, visit the website.

Food Safety

Food Safety at Home

Golden rules for food safety at home:

  1. Wash and dry your hands before starting food preparation and after handling raw meat and chicken.
  2. Keep raw food away from ready to eat food and never use utensils, plates or equipment for cooked or ready to eat food if it has contacted raw food.

With the increase of barbecues and picnics in warmer weather, these rules become even more important. If you have any further questions please contact Council’s Environmental Health Officers on 9748 9999.
