When: Sat 9 Dec, 6pm - 10pm Community Strategic PlanCouncil is currently reviewing the Community Strategic Plan, which outlines the community's vision and Council’s priorities and aspirations for the next 10 years and beyond. To ensure all community voices are heard, Council will be reaching out to the wider community with a number of engagement activities, including an online survey, focus groups, a youth summit and a community panel. The engagement activities, together with our consultations, will allow Council to create a draft Community Strategic Plan that is truly informed by, and reflective of, our local Strathfield community. The handbags, filled with personal care products, will be provided to homeless and at-risk women, as well as those experiencing domestic violence. Connecting StrathfieldRuchi Ruchi - IT Developer As part of the IT team at Council, I work on installing and developing new communication and internal business processes. I am currently working on the Council Wi-Fi Project, an initiative which aims to enhance communication for local residents. The project involves installing hotspots of wireless internet which residents and visitors can use, free of charge. The service, provided by Strathfield Council, is up and running at Strathfield Square. Keep an eye out for future developments! Throwback ThursdayStrathfield Christmas CarolsThe tradition of celebrating Christmas in Strathfield has been long established. In the past the Strathfield Town Centre was the site of a large nativity display.
