Well it’s set to be another busy year for HR and Employment Law. Here is a brief overview of what is coming up this year: Employers to provide itemised payslips under new legislation From 6 April 2019, new legislation will change how UK employers provide payslips to their workforces. Under the new system employers will have to deliver itemised payslips to every worker on their payroll, not just those classified as ‘employees’. National minimum wage will see increases of nearly 5%! As in previous years there will be another increase for both the National Minimum wage and National Living Wage from April 2019. Changes to statutory rates effective from 7th April 2019 The Government has published changes to the statutory rates for maternity pay, paternity pay, shared parental pay, adoption pay and sick pay from April 2019.
