ENGLISH BELOW Appel à candidature : Atelier International de Maîtrise d’œuvre urbaine de San-Pedro, Côte d’Ivoire "De la cité portuaire à la métropole côtière" Atelier Professionnel du 26 février au 12 mars 2021 Candidatez avant le 1er décembre, résultat annoncé le 15 décembre 2020 A l’initiative de la ville de San-Pedro et du Ministère de la Ville de Côte d’Ivoire avec le soutien de l’Agence Française de Développement, Les Ateliers de Cergy organise un atelier international d’urbanisme à San-Pedro du 26 février au 12 mars 2021. Pendant deux semaines 18 professionnels, locaux et internationaux, prendront part à un travail de créativité collectif et pluridisciplinaire à San-Pedro. A la fin de la session les équipes de participants présenteront leur proposition devant un jury composé des parties prenantes, d’élus et d’experts nationaux et internationaux. Urbanistes, architectes, géographes, paysagistes, environnementalistes, écologues, sociologues, économistes, etc réfléchirons sur le thème suivant : "De la cité portuaire à la métropole côtière" Situé en bord de lagune et ayant un relief très vallonné, le territoire de San-Pedro est caractérisé par une géographie remarquable. Il est par ailleurs, le second pôle économique de Côte d’Ivoire et premier port d’exportation du cacao du monde. La ville a connu un développement fulgurant à partir des années 1970 suite à la décision étatique d’installer un port d’envergure sur un site jusqu'alors enclavé. Le territoire fait l'objet aujourd’hui d'un grand nombre de projets de développement. L'atelier abordera les nombreux enjeux du territoire : - Prendre en compte la géographie remarquable et préserver la biodiversité et la lagune. - Consolider le Grand San-Pedro comme territoire d’emplois et d’opportunités économiques à l’échelle régionale et internationale. - Créer des partenariats actifs entre acteurs : Ville, Administrations, Port, Université, Habitants, acteurs économiques. Urbaniste, architecte, géographe, ingénieur, paysagiste, environnementaliste, écologue économiste, artiste ... sont invités à candidater. Les participants sont bénévoles. Le voyage à San Pedro, l'hébergement sur place, les salles de travail, les visites, les repas de groupe, les documents ressources et le matériel de dessin seront pris en charge par les Ateliers et la ville de San Pedro. Les participants doivent amener leur propre ordinateur. Maitrise de l'anglais (travail en équipe internationale) et disponibilité à temps plein pendant la période de l'atelier sont requises pour candidater. Pour toute question écrire à : sanpedro@ateliers.org L'équipe des Ateliers Call for applications International urban planning workshop in San-Pedro, Ivory-Coast "From port city to coastal metropolis" Professional workshop to be held from 26th february 2021 to 12th March 2021 Apply before december 1st - result to be announced on December 15th At the request of the city of San-Pedro and the Ivorian Ministry of Urban Affairs and with the support of the French Development Agency, Les Ateliers de Cergy is organizing an international urban planning workshop in San-Pedro in February 2021. During two weeks, foreign and local participants (urban planner, architect, geographer, landscape designer, environmental engineer, sociologist, economist ...) will take part in a two week workshop in San-Pedro. At the end of the session, the teams of participants will present their work to a jury composed of elected, local stakeholders, and national and international experts. They will work on the following topic : "From port city to coastal metropolis" The territory of San-Pedro is characterized by strong geographic features : it’s located on the edge of a lagoon and has a very hilly relief. It is also the second economic center of Ivory Coast and the world's leading cocoa export harbour. The city experienced a fast development from the 1970s following the state decision to build a major port on this site. Today there are a large number of development projects for this second city of the country. San-Pedro is facing many challenges : - Take into account the strong geographic features, preserve biodiversity and the lagoon. - Consolidate Greater San-Pedro offering significant employement and economic opportunities on a regional and international scale. - Create active partnerships between actors: City, Administrations, Port, University, Inhabitants, economic actors… Discover the call for applications here How to apply ? The workshop is open to all areas of study and expertise! It is aimed at professionals of any nationality or discipline. Town planners, designers, architects, geographers, engineers, landscape designers, ecologists, sociologists, artists, economists, etc. are welcome to apply. Participants will work on a voluntary basis. Nevertheless, the travel to San-Pedro, the accommodation, the work spaces, all visits, group meals, resources documents and drawing materials are provided by Les Ateliers and the city of San Pedro. Participants must bring their own computer. Proficiency in English (must be able to work as part of an international team) and full availability for the workshop dates required. Applications must be sent as a single PDF file compiling your CV ( 1 page) , a motivation letter and the application form ( downloadable on the workshop page ).
