SHOULD WE, EVEN IF WE CAN?
ETHICAL CORPORATE DECISION MAKING
IN A POST-HAYNE WORLD

Dear Member,

In conjunction with the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), we are very pleased to invite you to a CPD session & drinks on Thursday 28 November 2019.

Chaired by Wendy Harris QC, this panel discussion will examine the role of organisational culture in corporate decision making.

Organisational culture was one of the key themes of the final report by the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry. Since that report was delivered, the corporate regulator has also declared its focus on the issue.

How does an organisation effect cultural change? What challenges might be faced in seeking to do so?

The panel will comprise
Catherine Walter AM & Carolyn McSweeney, both of whom have extensive experience in organisations subject to regulatory scrutiny, such as commissions of inquiry, alongside Katherine Brazenor.

The session will be following by drinks with our panel, members of ACC, and counsel. Please feel free to extend the invitation to your corporate clients.

Please contact pilotprogram@vicbar.com if you have any inquiries regarding this session.
