We’re doing our bit and staying close to home this summer. The books I intended to read in airports and in squishy hotel beds have instead become faithful companions during lazy weekends spent in the familiar surroundings of my backyard. It turns out, having your nose in a book in New Jersey isn’t so dissimilar to having your nose in a book in Rome. At least that’s what I’m telling myself.
Bright artists, too, are making the most of things. With more time to spend in their studios, many have experimented with fresh styles, developed exciting characters and certainly given us agents a lot of fun new pieces to share with you.
