As we move toward an even more digital world in response to COVID-19, there has been plenty of progress in the digital space to make services easier for you to access and benefit from. Digital survey plans reached a significant milestone recently, with over half a million plans now available for users to download. The first roll out of eConveyancing residual documents is also now available for subscribers to use electronically, with more to come in the next few months. Earlier in September, all states and territories supported the principle of updating the national law to require interoperability between ELNOs. You can read more detail about this decision in the Ministerial Direction. ARNECC has also now considered its position on market structures following its market structure review. New guides for strata scheme changesNew guides are now available to assist Owners and Owner Corporations to change elements of strata schemes to better suit the needs of residents. Two-year limit now applies for Certificates of CurrencyLodging parties are now required to submit a Certificate of Currency for plans lodged more than two years after the survey completion date. Simplified lodgment of plan amendment requestsNSW LRS has created a new interactive online form for plan amendment requests, to simplify the process and allow plan review requests to be managed faster. Digital lapsing noticesLapsing notices will now be sent to lodging parties via email, improving notification times and making it easier to remove a caveat. Interoperability moving forwardOn 7 September all states and territories supported moving forward with requiring interoperability between ELNOs in the national law. |
