DigitalMINDSET: A New Flagship ProjectWith the growing prevalence of youths being addicted to gaming, MINDSET partnered TOUCH Community Services to launch our second flagship, DigitalMINDSET on 27 August. This is a five-year partnership that aims to help youths between 12 and 21 years old who display emotional regulation issues due to their addiction. The youths will be enrolled in a nine-month intervention programme with trained counsellors. Our Jardine Ambassadors will also serve as mentors to these youths, engaging them over group activities to encourage them to look beyond their screens. Youths will also visit different Jardine companies to gain insights into various work environments as they start thinking about their career aspirations.
A Trip into the Future WorldEvery quarter, we organise the MINDSET Fun Day. Not just a day out for MINDSET representatives to interact with persons-in-recovery, it also provides caregivers with a rest day from their daily routines. On 27 June, 36 clients and staff from Singapore Anglican Community Services visited the ArtScience Museum, accompanied by 13 Jardine Ambassadors and the MINDSET secretariat. The group entered a futuristic world of high-tech interactive artworks and immersed themselves in a world of art, science and magic through the various digital installations. It was a first for many clients to be visiting such a venue, and they especially enjoyed the opportunity to witness how the artworks they had created on-the-spot were digitally scanned and displayed on the screens.
