This week we will be going to the Salesforce Tower to polish our final presentations ready for next week's competition pitches against other schools. We've have plans for reusable straws, vertical gardens and computerised nets to catch waste in the oceans. Wish us luck for the upcoming Maker Faire! Borough Athletics Success! Last week a selection of students went along to take part in the Borough Athletics Competition. A big congratulations to Adrijus for being selected to represent Newham in the 200m sprint in Essex this June. Well done also to the following students who were involved in the event: Sion, Zakiya, Yasmin, Issac, Kai, Angelina, Aliyah A, Zen, Imtiyaz and Riaz. Celebrating our Community Megan in Year 8 is an avid runner outside of school and has achieved impressive success of late! Recently, she competed in the Mini London Marathon, completing 3 miles with a time of 23:14 which made her the second fastest Newham girl in the under 13 category! Congratulations Megan, keep up the impressive work! Sushi Art in 6 Currently in Art Lessons, Year 6 are exploring the wonderful world of sushi through experimenting with water colour paints, drawing and sculpture. Their sketchbooks look amazing as they try out different techniques, preparing for creating a final 3D model of the food. Here, Luke shows us his great work. Can't wait to see the final products.
