Everyone arrived back at school in the evening, sun-kissed and smiling after the day of roller-coasters, rides and laughter. Year 7 Ignite: A moment of humanity THIS WEEK! Letters were sent home last week about the Year 7 Ignite performances for this year. On Thursday 4th July, in the Middle School Courtyard and surrounding rooms, all Year 7 students will perform their own original speeches they are crafting over this half term. The Ignite process gives the newest students to our school a course in Oracy and provides an opportunity for personal reflection. The speeches this year are focused on a moment of humanity that each student has experiences and identified and the impact this has had on themselves and the community. We look forward to seeing all Year 7 parents there! Please note, students are expected to stay back after school on this day to rehearse and get ready. Please contact Mr Thomas with any questions or concerns on dthomas@school21.org.uk End of Year Picnic in the Park When school finishes for the summer on Friday 19th July at 1:00pm, why not join a group of parents with a picnic to let the children play the afternoon away and say bye to school friends for the summer? Year 8 Camping Trip Last Friday night the Year 8s set up camp at Debden House for an evening of nightwalks, chocolate bananas in the camp fire coals and good company as they went on the first ever annual camping trip! Epping Forest was a gloriously stunning backdrop for the trip and the students really stepped up, making it a very enjoyable visit for all. Huge thanks to Ms Jenkins for all her hard work in organising, and to all the teachers who came along and supported with a special shout out to Ms Druce for writing an epic campfire-side quiz as well.
