Environmental Contribution

What Value do You Place on our Environment?

Taking care of our environment is an increasing concern as we try and implement sustainable practices in our everyday lives. Council is considering implementing an Environmental Contribution Fee of $50 per household per annum which will go towards areas like bush regeneration, water quality, sustainability and biodiversity to name a few.

Throwback Thursday

Strathfield House

Strathfieldsaye, inspired by the Duke of Wellington’s English home, was built in 1868. It was later known as Strathfield House, and the name was adopted for the new municipality of Strathfield on 2 June 1885. Once occupied by prominent business men, the Strathfield House was demolished in 1957.
