Clore Fellowship Programme Eligibility Criteria To Be Opened To All Dancers

From 2016, for the first time, we are very excited to announce that we will be expanding the eligibility criteria for the Clore Leadership Programme’s Dance Fellowship to include all dancers who have performed in the UK for at least five years.

Applicants will no longer be required to have performed with one of DCD’s Contributing Companies for a fixed period. Instead, the Dance Fellowship is open to anyone who has worked as a dance artist in the UK for a total of at least 5 years, as a dancer, and who meets the required standard for a Fellowship.

DCD, together with the Linbury Trust, supports the annual Clore Leadership Programme Dance Fellowship and will also be providing support for the Emerging Leaders and Short Courses - details to follow in 2016.

Applications open on 8th January 2016. This is a prestigious opportunity and we encourage dancers to find out more at our Open Afternoon on 12th January 2016.

DCD Schools Programme Extended

We're absolutely delighted that our successful pilot scheme with The Royal Ballet School has been extended for another year.

The programme is designed to develop happy, confident, motivated professional dancers who are prepared for professional life.

A big thank you to all our DCD retrained dancers who have given their time to come and speak to the students!

Robert Gravenor - DCD Transition Tales

Robert is a former dancer with The Royal Ballet and Birmingham Royal Ballet  who, with DCD's support, has pursued a successful  new career in filmmaking after retiring in 2011.

Although it is challenging facing so many uncertainties and it can be unnerving at times it’s really important to be happy and enjoy the journey.
