2020 Envirobank NSW Super Team Series
The new Envirobank NSW Super Team Series kicks off this Saturday with round one hosted by Swansea Belmont SLSC.
Our state's best athletes will compete across six teams lead by Lizzie Welborn (Newport SLSC), Jemma Smith (Newport SLSC), Britney Pierce (Wanda SLSC), Daniel Collins (Redhead SLSC), Jackson Borg (Newport SLSC) and Jay Furniss (Cronulla SLSC).
Good luck to all competitors. We can't wait to get into our first competition of the season!
2020 Rotary Inspirational Women's Awards
Surf Life Saving NSW would like to congratulate Sarah Bugbird (Merewether SLSC), Bianca Manuel (Clovelly SLSC) and Molly Parker (North Steyne SLSC) who have been named as finalists in the 2020 Rotary Inspirational Women's Awards.
The purpose of these awards is to acknowledge and celebrate community service performed by women through their vocations, selfless gifts of their skills and their time in various activities and endeavours.
The Awards recognise the work done by women, the “quiet achievers”, whose actions inspire others and make a real difference in their communities.

Freshwater SLSC - Tim's Dream for Emily and Arlo Fundraiser
Join Freshwater SLSC on Saturday 14 November for a fundraising tribute for well known Freshwater SLSC member Tim Kirkby.
Diagnosed at 19 with Lymphoma, Tim endured cancer three times by the age of 28. One week shy of his son's first birthday, Tim tragically succumbed to the disease.
A live and silent auction will be held on the night with some incredible prizes on offer, including prized sporting memorabilia, surf boards and holiday adventures.

Grants & Fundraising
Grant funding is an ideal way to obtain equipment, infrastructure or program funding for your club. In support of SLSCs in NSW, SLSNSW provides a professional grant service at no fee to NSW SLSCs through Surf Life Saving Foundation’s Grant Seeking Unit (GSU). The GSU is a national grant research and writing support unit for SLS entities across Australia.

Kitchen Catch Up - Understanding Mental Health & Wellbeing
In these unique times, many people may be feeling anxious, worried or afraid as COVID-19 continues to impact us all. Looking after the mental health of ourselves, friends and family is an important part of staying well.
Join us for a 60-minute Kitchen Catch Up with two of our accredited Mental Health First Aid Trainers to learn more about Mental Health and how to look after yourself and others.

Australian Lifeguard Service NSW - Recruitment Now Open!
With over 350 positions available across 90 locations, the ALS is encouraging surf lifesavers to apply as a means of offering local employment, building stronger relationships with clubs and providing opportunities for club members to develop leadership and lifesaving skills as:
- Lifeguard Supervisors
- Seasonal Lifeguards
- Casual Lifeguards.
Returning 2019/20 lifeguards must reapply online with their user number and password. To ensure your application is registered please follow the instructions on the Become a Lifeguard page of the Australian Lifeguard Service NSW website.
Australian UAV Service - Paid Positions Now Available!
With a presence in every coastal council, the AUAVS is encouraging SLS members to apply as a means of offering local employment, building stronger relationships with clubs and providing opportunities for club members to develop leadership and lifesaving skills as:
- UAV Operators (non-RePL)
- UAV Pilots (RePL).
