How One Entrepreneur Is Changing The Face Of Angel Investing

The Kara Network is a digital resource for advice and discussion for entrepreneurs, by entrepreneurs. Natalia Oberti-Noguera, founder and CEO of Pipeline Angels, experienced her “a-ha moment” after hearing about a recurring challenge her network of female social entrepreneurs was facing: raising funding. Women, it seemed, weren’t being taken seriously when it came to running for-profit companies with a social mission. Inspired to change the gender norms of social entrepreneurs, Oberti-Noguera decided to build a bridge from philanthropy into angel investing that would help solve this unique issue. Today, Pipeline Angels has more than 200 members who invest in other women-led ventures, and the network of both new and seasoned women angels has invested more than $2 million. [ Forbes ]
