Contemporary Issue Video and Twitter DiscussionThe Contemporary Issue for this year is Student Advocacy: Helping Support Students with Dissenting Behaviors. Throughout the year, there will be videos in the State Newsletters designed to acclimate the membership to the topic. This second video is by Tomika Brown-Nagin who comments on the civil rights movement, political pragmatism, and the courage to dissent. The video is approximately 22 minutes long and is quite thought provoking. After watching the video, please feel free to participate in a discussion on Twitter @glacuho #dissentingbehaviors or on the GLACUHO Facebook page. This video does not necessarily represent the views of GLACUHO or the Contemporary Issues Committee or its members. It is designed to promote thought and conversation surrounding the topic of dissent.
