Sun Peaks Sneak Peeks: Issue 17Tourism Sun Peaks Trade Newsletter The light at the end of the tunnel is finally peaking through for us in British Columbia. With strong vaccination rates in BC we officially moved into Step 3 of BC’s Restart Plan on July 1st. What does that mean for Sun Peaks? Well, we can now welcome back travelers from across the country, hug our friends and family again and start planning for the travel seasons ahead. While Sun Peaks is welcoming back guests, we also have some exciting trail developments in the works. Sun Peaks Recreational Trail Association (SPRTA) will be breaking ground on a 14km trail on Mt. Morrisey later this month. Additionally, SPRTA has several other trails currently in the building phase that will complement the existing valley cross-country trail network. These new multi use trails are free to use and open earlier in the season and later into the fall due to elevation. We are optimistic for international travel to return for Winter 2021-22 and want to offer our support as travel begins to resume. Be sure to register for our winter webinar day later in the month and stay tuned for a Summer 2022 webinar in the fall. We can't wait to re-connect with you and welcome your clients to the mountains. Summer Product Update Hike through the alpine wildflowers, play a round of golf on BC’s highest elevation golf course, learn to mountain bike in Sun Peaks Bike Park or Stand Up Paddle Board on a pristine lake. We have more export ready product then ever before and will have your clients wanting to stay longer. Stay tuned for more details on bookable RV sites and E-Bikes Rentals for Summer 2022. New!
