118 Perimeter Center W, Atlanta Join us once a month as we gather at different restaurants around Atlanta to socialize and enjoy dinner together. In April, we are meeting at Chuy's Tex Mex! Participants now pay for their own meal! We will also be reserving a Parent Connection table especially for parents to help parents connect with one another during dinner. Suggested Dinner Price: $20-$25

19-Thursday, August 23 Join us as we head back to a favorite destination for our annual trip! We'll spend five adventurous days in the Orlando area at each of the following locations, in addition to pool and shopping time: Magic Kingdom, Walt Disney World

8:00 am Race to register for the 25th Annual Harris Jacobs Dream Run, a family-friendly 5K road race. Post-race activities include face painting, rock climbing wall, massages, and games with the Atlanta Hawks Flight Crew. This event raises funds for the Blonder Family Department for Special Needs so be sure to show your support!
Fee: $25 through April 20, $30 after April 20, $35 on race day

Mondays
(No bowling May 21 or May 28)

Bowlmor Lanes, 2175 Savoy Drive, Chamblee Join us every Monday for a night of bowling and fun. Fee includes shoes and two games. We don't meet on Jewish and national holidays. Cash payment is due each bowling night. Fee: $10, Open to the Community
Tuesdays, through May 22
7:00-8:15 pm Participants will immerse themselves in this therapeutic program designed to increase body awareness, strength, and flexibility. We will teach calming techniques for the overburdened sensory system, quiet a busy head, and soothe the nervous system. Fee: Call 678.812.3751 or email Emily for current pricing

5:30-6:30 pm SOAR Tennis is specifically designed to offer tennis training and competition to children and adults with special needs. This active program is guided by experienced volunteer coaches who emphasize team play, sportsmanship, and coordination skills. Fee: $40

7:00 pm Please join us for the MJCCA red carpet premier of That Was Awesome, a short film produced in cooperation with Dad’s Garage, featuring actors from the MJCCA Spotlight Theatre Company. Arrive at 7:00 pm for a red carpet entrance and to take photos in our photo booth. The event features the movie screening, director commentary, actor discussion panel, and a dessert reception. Tickets: $5 in advance, $10 at the door

Atlantic Station Join the Autism Speaks Georgia Chapter for its 14th Annual Autism Speaks Walk, in partnership with the Marcus Autism Center. The 1.7-mile walk and event begin at 8:00 am at Atlantic Station Pinnacle Lot. Registration is free, but fundraising is encouraged. Register online!

The Ruth B. Jackson Transitions ProgramThe Ruth B. Jackson Transitions program, within the Blonder Family Department for Special Needs, is designed especially for young adults ages 22-27 with mild to moderate autism or related conditions who benefit from a structured, small-group environment.
Through a wide variety of social, recreational, and service activities, this program fosters: - Community Contribution

Young adults with mild to moderate autism can make new friends, develop independent life skills, get motivated with health and fitness goals, and give back to the community!
