No Images? Click here Newsletter | October 2017 From the Director's deskI hope you had a very happy Diwali. The last few weeks have seen Akademi involved in a huge breadth of activity. 40,000 people experienced our classic shows Sufi:Zen and Bells in Leicester; hundreds of young people and older adults took part in workshops across Diwali festivities including trafalgar Square in London; we launched our Reach Out and Reveal school residencies, delivered a special inter-generational project in Camden, and presented an intimate evening of exquisite Mohiniattam and Bharatanatyam. I remain enthused by the ability of South Asian dance to inspire and engage, and extend my ongoing thanks to all those artists who work with us. Mira Kaushik OBE News
