Principal's Message

This year has taught us the value of reflection, evaluation and adjustment and I must congratulate our students, teachers and our parents for working closely with the campus to implement COVID-19 changes, keeping connected through the parent portal, our newsletters, Facebook and our website.

We continue to hold our assemblies virtually and it has highlighted the innovation, resilience and dedication of our students in embracing these technology changes.

Parent - Teacher Interview Process

Please complete expression of interest forms by Sunday 30 August.

This year as a result of COVID-19 we are asking parents to provide an expression of interest to request a phone conference with your child's teachers.  The process will happen exactly the same way as face-to-face but over the phone. Each interview is 5 minutes.

National Skills Week - Orchestra of Skills

Skills can help you: save a life, grow a garden, create a thing of beauty, build a house, produce a vaccine, foil a cyber attack, design clothing, make a movie or create legacy.

At Hastings Secondary College we promote the concept of learning while doing. We encourage our students to discover their natural skills and reach their full potential, no matter the career or educational pathways they choose. Our Academic and Vocational Educational (VET) pathways prepare our youth for a lifetime of skills.

The Skillsroad website is an excellent resource for students and parents to explore skills and career pathways. Our College Careers Adviser, Mrs Shaw is available to discuss career pathways and guide students.
