College Dean's Message

Joseph Doucet (Dean, Social Sciences & Humanities)

Dear College community,

I wanted to welcome you as we launch our new College newsletter. This monthly newsletter will share important developments in the College, with a specific focus on the processes and services in our Offices of Education and Research. Over the past year there have been many changes and it is our hope that this information will help you interact more effectively with the College community and offices.

While we continue to grow as a College and support the one university approach, I encourage you to please reach out at any time to share your feedback and questions at cssh@ualberta.ca. We have brilliant minds in our College and it is by working together that we can grow our College into one that continues to innovate and inspire.

Let me conclude by offering my sincere congratulations to Dr. Marvin Washington who has been appointed as our College Dean & Vice Provost effective July 1. As a colleague and friend, I look forward to the leadership and guidance that I know Marvin will bring to this role.

Sincerely,

Joseph Doucet
