Update from Mount Hotham Alpine Resort Management Board | 14 July 2020 Update from Mount Hotham Alpine Resort Management Board14 July 2020Dear stakeholder, Please see below for information about
Regional Tourism Accommodation Support ProgramAt 11:59pm on Wednesday 8 July 2020, residents in metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire returned to Stage 3 Stay at Home restrictions to help slow the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Victoria. The restrictions will mean that residents in these areas, as well as some interstate visitors prevented from travelling to Victoria, will have to cancel bookings with accommodation providers in regional Victoria. Accommodation businesses in regional Victoria impacted by these cancellations will be able to apply for direct financial support through the Regional Tourism Accommodation Support Program. Applications are open from 13 July 2020 until the end of the current Stay at Home restrictions or when funds are exhausted. Read more here. New parking arrangements for HothamWith lifting operations at Hotham suspended until at least 19 August and given the expected visitor numbers over the next 6 weeks, the Village bus service ceased operations on Sunday 12 July at midnight. With this change and the fact that people will be moving around the resort by car, we are instituting changes to car parking in the resort. Please refer to our Village map if you are not familiar with the areas mentioned below. Please continue to observe bus stop and loading zone parking restrictions. Overnight parking areasOvernight parking will be allowed on the southern (village) side of the Great Alpine Road between bus stop 8 (Moritz) and bus stop 3 (Anton Huette). The roadside between the Arlberg (bus stop 2) and the Corral car park will remain a reserved car parking area for those operators and guests that have an allocated reserved car park. Alpine Nature Experience guests will be able to park overnight at the Wire Plain car park. We would encourage any long term guests and visitors that do not require daily access to their vehicles to keep them parked in the long term overnight parking at Little Higgi car park. Day parkingThe Corral car park will remain a day car park to facilitate snow clearing access for day visitors. New MHARMB office hoursThe office hours for the Mount Hotham Alpine Resort Management Board are now 9:00am to 4:00pm. Please note the Mount Hotham Resort Management Board office will not accept walk-ins and all visits must be pre-booked via this link.
