Appointment of Independent MembersCouncil is seeking expressions of interest from independent external applicants to actively contribute to the Audit Committee. Applicants must reside in the Strathfield LGA. Expressions of interest close at 5pm on Sunday 24 June. You Talkin’ To Me?The Australian Hearing bus has provided more than 28,000 free hearing checks to communities across Australia, and it will be making its way to Strathfield soon! Head over for a free hearing check with friendly professionals. When: 9am - 4pm, 5 - 6 July Augustus Loftus ReserveAugustus Loftus Reserve playground will be updated with wet pour rubber, for better child safety and wheelchair accessibility. The work is due to be completed in 2 weeks, weather permitting. Throwback ThursdayNew Franklins Shop Strathfield 1981In its former glory days, Franklins relocated their Strathfield store inside the plaza in 1981, which was their largest supermarket at the time. Once famous for its “No Frills” brands and low prices, Franklins sold its last store in 2015, and their store in Strathfield Plaza is now occupied by Woolworths.
