![]() Dear friend, It's no news things have been very different the past twelve months. One major difference is how our community business partners have stepped up and asked us, "We're all working from home. How can we as a business still support Lift UP?" The Northwest Industrial Business Association (NIBA) came up with a great solution. Instead of coordinating a traditional food drive this season, members of NIBA hosted a Virtual Food Drive! Over the last two months, members of NIBA raised $1,150 for Lift UP to source healthy, nutritious food for low-income residents in Northwest and Downtown Portland. Because each $5 donation equals 15 meals, NIBA provided 3,450 meals to our neighbors facing limited food access. Virtual Food Drives are a great way to stay connected with the community, come together to support our neighbors in need and keeps us all safe from the pandemic. With spring arriving before we know it, Lift UP's Spring Food and Fund Drive is the perfect time to host a Virtual Food Drive. It's easy. Just reach out to me, Lift UP's Community Engagement Manager by phone or email and I'll be happy to walk you through the process. Gratefully, Brett Williams Food brings us together. |
