Two communities are working on their Community Solutions Action Plan (CSAP) since they've submitted their Letter of Intent, and several others are on track to submit their Letter of Intent soon! National Partner Spotlight:First Book is a non-profit organization that provides free or low-cost books and resources to educators serving low-income children. "Educators" can include faith-based leaders, librarians, physicians, and other community leaders who serve children and families in need. Local Campaign Spotlight:The LOU Reads Campaign for Grade-Level Reading in Oxford / Lafayette County celebrated Read Across America Day, a birthday celebration for Dr. Seuss, in a creative way - a pen-pal project for more than 800 local schoolchildren.
