Helping in the CommunityLast Friday, Taylor were lucky enough to have Sue from St John's come and teacher us about how we can help people that are hurt in the community. 1) Dangers - We have to make sure there are no dangers around that could jeopardise ourselves and the person that is hurt. 2) Responsive - We have to check if the person is breathing by putting our hand by their nose and feeling their breath or looking at their tummy to see if it is moving as that shows they are breathing. We then pull up their knees and roll them onto their side. 3) Call an ambulance on 111. Tell them your address, your phone number and what has happened. In order to do this all calmly we know we have to be knowledgeable and use the skills we have learnt, be balanced to stay calm and most definitely be caring.
