The consumer is increasing informed to make educated choices on products across the board from milk, cheeses, meats, wines, vegetables, flour, rice etc. Some industries such as the wine industry are moving quickly to meet this consumer demand and position their product offerings for the savvy consumer. Opportunities abound for those embracing sustainable practises and providing transparency on their business practises and supply chains. If you were following our vineyard trial work this has now been published and is attracting a lot of interest in terms of climate adaptation and resilience building for the wine industry. We are also in the midst of a major glass house trial with lettuces and this work will be especially of interest for our horticultural clients. This data can be expected early in 2020. Check out our latest research findings in the results section of our web site. Our newsletter provides a snap shot of our latest news and some exciting new product offerings. Best Wishes, Nutrient Dense Foods - Latest Research Converte continues to research the transfer of nutrients from both its input products and from a functioning soil into end products. The nutrient density of food has declined significantly over the last 60 years and one of the reasons is that the soil food web critical for micro-nutrient transfer is unable to function effectively under high chemical loading. Our current research with the University of Western Sydney is investigating such quality issues in the growing of pumpkins and lettuces under controlled conditions. Over time we aim to show that by improving soil biological health and function we can contribute to better quality end products with higher profit margins for our farmers adopting these practises. Grape Trial Results In this study Converte Plantfood applied via drip irrigation and direct foliar spraying for less than $20 / ha, demonstrated a significant improvement in soil biology contributing to:

Science is increasing finding evidence of the importance of the gut lining to our physical and mental health. This extremely thin barrier about 2 tennis courts in size is our main protection from outside toxins and diseases. A healthy gut however, relies on a healthy diversity of gut bacteria and viruses that provide nutrients across the gut barrier whilst also protecting our vital organs from pathogens or nutrient excesses. Many are even calling the gut the second brain responsible for key hormone production that provide for our balanced state of health. However, over exposure to toxins and antibiotics is compromising our gut health and leading to high levels of inflammation, mood disorders such as anxiety or attention deficiency, and neurological diseases such as Parkinson's and alziemer's. Consider that in 1975 1 in 5000 children born had autism but today that number is 1 in 40. The latest research shows the gut is the key to controlling and managing our core health and maintaining a healthy gut microbiome is of vital importance. 3 steps we recommend for gut health are: 1. Eat a high fibre diet; 2. Avoid exposure to harmful chemicals and antibiotics; 3. Spend time immersed in nature. At the very least we all need to try and ensure that the rate of cellular repair exceeds the rate of cellular damage. After years of our own research in this space we are now pleased to offer our customers a unique gut health product - Cell Charge - derived from an ancient single origin mineral deposit rich in natural fulvic acids.
