EXCITING UPDATES Great News! Team Giving has secured a $25,000 challenge grant. As soon as Team Giving raises $25,000, funds will be matched dollar for dollar! Thank you so much for your support! BECOME A LEADER IN VOLUNTEER INVESTMENT Team Giving has partnered with Points of Light to bring the Service Enterprise Initiative to our area! For our fall cohort, we are looking for nonprofits ready to leverage volunteers and their skills. Nonprofits who certify are 93% more effective at engaging volunteers to meet their mission. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY SPOTLIGHT Little Maker's Day Camp Passionate about increasing access to STEM? Volunteer with the Girl Scouts at their Sacramento STEM Center to assist with fun projects, set up, and clean up at this mini-maker week. One or multiple days available. Volunteers must be 18+, interviewed by phone, and complete a background check. Summer Movie Night Volunteer at these fun & free summer events for families! Hearts Landing Ranch will be hosting movie nights for foster youth, low-income families, and others in the community every month this summer! Volunteers will help set up, greet guests, serve refreshments (and enjoy the movie). Age 15+ welcome. A special thank you this month to Intel Corporation, who completed 7 projects for 4 of our nonprofit partners as part of their 2019 Intel Involved program. These helpful volunteers donated over 240 hours to the following projects: revitalizing the "river" at Sacramento Adventure Playground, where children will pan for gold this summer; finishing the Interactive Nature Trail for children in crisis served by the Sacramento Children's Home; weeding and working in citrus groves at Soil Born Farms; planting corn, painting horse stalls, and fixing facilities at Hearts Landing Ranch.
