EVENT DETAILSThursday 27 April 2016 from 6.45pm NEWS: BY ACQUIRING BRITISH COMPANY LAVENDON, LOXAM CLIMBS HIGHER UP THE CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT RENTAL MARKET The French company Loxam now owns 91.5% of rental construction equipment in Europe after taking over its number one competitor, the British firm Lavendon. In a press release on Monday 20th, Loxam’s President explained that the acquisition of Lavendon was a “friendly” one, agreed on by Lavendon’s Board of Advisors, it will propose an alternative to the offensive launched by Belgium’s TVH. “With a presence in 21 countries worldwide and a combined turnover of 1.3 billion euros, this transaction will reinforce Loxam’s leadership in the domain of rental heavy equipment and will pave the way for new development opportunities throughout Europe, the Middle East and the rest of the world.” Through the acquisition of Lavendon, Loxam will now increase its presence considerably in Great Britain, where Lavendon generated 45% of its sales revenue and a further 7% in Brazil and Morocco.
