Community GHG Executive Summary Template

The Mid-Hudson Regional GHG Emissions Inventory calculated community-wide GHG emissions by sector, including residential, commercial, industrial, mobile energy, solid waste, wastewater treatment, industrial processes, agriculture, and energy supply, for a 2010 baseline year. The new Executive Summary Template offers a quick and interesting format to snapshot the sources of emissions from community activities and to promote awareness of your community baseline from which future emissions reductions and progress can be measured. Download Your Updated CSC Profile!

Every year the Mid-Hudson CSC Regional Coordinators work with local governments to update their CSC Profiles, which highlight a community’s progress under the CSC 10 Pledge Elements. This year, the CSC Profiles have been modified to directly link to the Pledge Element chapters of the Climate Smart Communities Certification Manual which includes additional resources to identify and develop new actions. A Green Fleets Guide was developed with the Village of Dobbs Ferry to help weigh the costs and benefits of a variety of fuel efficient, low emissions, and cost effective vehicles that can be procured to replace existing vehicles in a local government's fleet.

Right-Sizing a Local Government Fleet

Local governments can cost effectively increase the efficiency of their fleet by right-sizing their vehicles. This tool, which was developed with the Village of Tarrytown, outlines 4 steps to right-sizing a fleet and includes a vehicle inventory template, a vehicle characteristics checklist and a vehicle purpose survey.
