Sheny Khera and Marjan Abbasi named EZMSA Innovators of the Year Congratulations to Sheny Khera and Marjan Abbasi, who have received the Innovators of the Year Award from the Edmonton Zone Medical Staff Association (EZMSA) for the Seniors Community Hub project. The award presentation will be made at the 2019 EZMSA General meeting to be held March 21, 2019.

Festival of Health 2019 The Festival of Health 2019 will be held May 25, 2019 in the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy (ECHA). The department will be well-represented by a number of researchers and faculty. Dr. Lesley Charles will join colleagues from the Division of Geriatric Medicine to present Health & Aging - Dare to Age
Well Dr. Ginetta Salvalaggio will be join colleagues from the Inner City Health and Wellness Program to present Caring for People Who Use Drugs BedMed, the CHANGE Program and the Glen Sather Sports Medicine Clinic will host information booths. This event is open to the public and free, so please share with friends, family,

CAG 2019 The Canadian Association on Gerontology will be accepting abstracts starting in January 2019 for the 2019 conference in Moncton, New Brunswick, October 24-26, 2019. The submission deadline is April 15, 2019. FMF 2019 Family Medicine Forum (FMF) has announced the call for posters and free-standing papers for the 2019 FMF in Vancouver, British Columbia, October 30 - November 2.
