COVID-19 Updates March 17, 2020
- The Provincial Health Officer announced a public health emergency in B.C. this afternoon (news release and physician information not yet available). The Minister of Health announced Outbreak Response Phase 2 yesterday (March 16), which includes compensation for virtual-care services, emergency registration of healthcare professionals, visitor restrictions for the public at Island Health facilities/buildings (March 16, and updated on March 17), refills without renewed prescriptions, hospitals undertaking only urgent and emergency procedures, and more.
