Many of the courses offered within the new certificates are also part of the Environmental Resource Management certificate. The courses were first offered as additional, separate programs through a set of professional development series, and are now developed into full certificates in response to demands from students and industry. Each certificate is comprised of 156 instructional hours. There are no prerequisites for entrance, but students are expected to already possess entry-level knowledge of the subject matter through job training, previous education, or work experience in a complementary environmental sector. If you have completed any of the courses previously offered within the series, you’re already on your way to a certificate, as you will be able to apply those courses toward the new certificates.
Courses are already available for registration. Official certificate program admission will be open as of July 1, 2019.
