Issue 10 Sun Peaks SnippetsHelping you uncover what makes Sun Peaks... Sun Peaks. The first snowfall has arrived and winter is well on its way! With less than a month to go before the lifts start turning, the stoke is building and the countdown to Opening Day has begun. Sun Peaks is scheduled to open on November 21st, welcoming guests and locals back on the slopes for the season. Although we will be missing our international friends this year, we are looking forward to Canadians discovering or re-discovering Sun Peaks this winter. The uncrowded slopes and vast terrain will be ideal for skiers and riders who want to escape the crowds. This is the year to tick off some bucket list adventures by driving a dog sled on a guided tour, or hooking a rainbow trout through the ice with a knowledgeable guide. See you on the mountain! In this issue: * The Summer of Biking The Summer of Biking Sun Peaks welcomed a record number of visitors to the Bike Park this summer and hosted the final stop of the Crankworx Summer Series in August, featuring some of the world’s top mountain bike athletes competing in a variety of events. With Sun Peaks offering trails for all abilities, a world-class Bike Park, a full bike rental fleet (including e-bikes!) and lots of space to explore, Sun Peaks has become a must-visit destination for riders. With the popularity of mountain biking on the rise, continued trail development will be taking place in both the Sun Peaks Bike Park and on the cross country trail network in 2021.
