Welcome to the Social Value UK May Newsletter. We hope you, your colleagues, friends and families are all healthy and well. Our spotlight for this month is firmly fixed on our Social Value UK Members Exchange (#SVUKMemEX), an annual conference for members of the UK social value community to come together and share best practice, discuss ideas and drive innovation in the sector.
Coming to the end of lockdown in the UK, it has never been more important for our members to come together to discuss and decide how we will ensure we build a better and more sustainable future for us all. Key issues to be addressed include the importance of place, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), social value and the built environment, changes to our space during the pandemic, transparency, accountability and more. Join us between June 14th-17th 2021 for webinars, talks, networking, virtual roundtables, wellbeing activities and more. Together we will improve wellbeing, reduce inequality and end environmental degradation. Here's a first look at some of our speakers and sessions - more announcements to follow next week!
Interested in sponsoring our event or helping others to come along? Sponsorship packages can be seen below, if you have any questions or want to go ahead with the sponsorship do get in contact with our Membership Manager, Rosie Sparrow at Rosie.Sparrow@socialvalueuk.org.
Special thanks to our sponsor Thrive Social Value, who have kindly enabled us to give away 5 free tickets for eligible VSCE/Self funded members. If you are looking to attend the MemEx but are without funds to do so, please provide your details on here. Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so don't hesitate!
We are delighted to have been invited to the 2021 Living Wage Champion Awards - to celebrate the individuals and organisations that have made an outstanding contribution to the Living Wage movement. We hope to see many of you there!
