Community Grants & Awards
Purpose: To help our junior sports stars meet the costs of participation at eligible sporting competitions.
Amount: $500
Funding provider: Office of Sport & Recreation
Closing Date: Round 1 2018 closes 30 June 2018Successful applicants will receive a $500 grant that can be used towards the cost of travel, accommodation, uniforms or equipment when competing.For more information: Click Here
Active Kids Rebate programPurpose: Parents will be able to claim up to $100 per school child, per calendar year, as a voucher to reduce the cost of sport registration or membership for after-school, weekend and structured fitness or physical activity.
Amount: $100

Purpose: To deliver activities that foster a sense of community
Amount: Up to $75,000

Growing Cricket for GirlsPurpose: To encourgage the growth & development of girls cricket
Amount: Up to $7,500
Funding Provider: Cricket Australia
Closing Date: 30 June 2018 The Growing Cricket for Girls (GCG) fund is seed funding designed to fast-track the establishment of new opportunities for girls to play cricket and support the growth and development of girl’s competitions at community cricket level across Australia. The fund directly supports community cricket associations, school sporting associations, cricket clubs and secondary schools across the country to develop new girls’ competitions, and support girls’ teams.For more information: Click here
CHOOSEMATHS AWARDS 2018Purpose: To celebrate mathematical achievement, creativity and excellence in Australian schools.
Amount: Ten prizes of $100 per student per team (either $300 or $400 per team)Ten prizes of $50 per student per team (either $300 or $400 per team)
Funding Provider: Australian Mathematical Sciences Institute
Closing Date: 22 June 2018The awards encourage students to get creative as they step beyond the classroom to bring their understanding of mathematics to life by submiting a 3–5 minute video based on this year’s theme, OUR WORLD NEED MATHS. Students compete as a team in order to foster a positive environment, giving them the opportunity to reason and work collaboratively. For more information: Click here
Community Building Partnership (CBP) grantPurpose: To invest in infrastructure projects that deliver positive social, environmental and recreational outcomes, while promoting community participation, inclusion and cohesion.
Amount: Between $2,500 and $330,000.
Funding Provider: NSW Government
Closing Date: 15 June 2018Total funding will be divided equally among the state electorates of NSW, applications will be assessed against other proposed projects within the same electorate. Grants need to be for:- construction of new community infrastructure
- refurbishment, repair and maintenance of existing community infrastructure
capital equipment with a minimum individual asset value of $2500.

Hunter Manufacturing Awards Purpose: To motivate, promote and showcase the best practices in manufacturing in the Hunter.

Skills for Business-Financial and Digital EducationPurpose: Offering fully subsidised business management, digital or financial skills training for NSW small businesses.
Amount: Skills for Business training is fully subsidised by the NSW Government

Purpose: To assist Aboriginal communities and individuals by providing funds to support projects that advance the aims of the Foundation
