Director's NotesDear Parents, The last two weeks, our older high school students have been sitting their AP and IB examinations. With these behind us, a major milestone in the lives of these young adults has been passed. We are confident that everyone did well, and we are immensely proud of everyone to have gotten this far in their education. For our seniors, only a few short weeks of high school remain. Hang in there, guys. You're almost there! Last week, we also welcomed all our middle school students back from their field trips. Judging by kids' reactions, everyone had a wonderful time. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all staff, parents, and helpers who have made these trips a memorable experience. As almost always happens on these trips, there were a few illnesses, mishaps, and accidents. I would like to commend our staff members for their professionalism and providing exceptional care under these circumstances. Parents, you too have to be commended for the supporting role you played throughout our Week Without Walls. We couldn't do it without you. Our Fine Arts Department is busy with many end of year shows and productions. It is always with great joy that I am a spectator in the audience. Nothing compares to seeing all the hard work pay off with those splendid and enjoyable moments on stage. Well done, everyone. R.E.P. There are still quite a few events happening before the end of the school year, and I cordially invite you to attend and participate. Please enjoy this edition of our newsletter. I wish everyone a peaceful and relaxing week. Dr. James W. Pilton, Ed.D. Dear Primary & Preschool Parents, I cannot believe that we are so close to the end of the school year! Spring has flown by and we just have a few busy weeks between us and the final days of school! This week, our jiao drive is taking place. Two years ago, Nepal experienced a terrible Earthquake. As people in the Sichuan province can understand, usually after such an event, organizations offer money and assistance immediately, but this support soon tapers off. We pledged, after our first LiveAid event, to keep supporting Nepal as they work to rebuild communities and lives. This support hits upon so many of the success orientations we teach our students on a daily basis: "Show Kindness and Politeness." "Have Concern for Others." The jiao drive is just a small way we can work wonders beyond borders, helping to make the world a kinder place. Aside from the jiao drive, we have an upcoming Yard Sale and our 7-10YO performance. Please find more information below. Sincerely, Secondary and middle school parents , We are in the home stretch with only a few final events to finish a wonderful year: A few thank yous for jobs well done:
Sincerely, |
