Marco starts Fourth Quarter with $11 million on hand

Thanks to smart budgeting and fiscal discipline, Marco Rubio for President started October with more money in the bank than Jeb Bush for President and most other campaigns.

Rubio for President reported $10,975,988.78 cash on hand in the end-of-quarter reports filed today with the Federal Election Commission (FEC). The strong cash-on-hand is thanks to nearly 110,000 donations. Both the median and most frequent donation was $25. Since launching in April, Rubio for President has raised $18,546,408 and kept a 40% “burn rate.”

Over 15,500 Floridians and more than 3,000 voters in the first four voting states have also donated to Marco’s presidential campaign.

Rubio’s new FEC report details the lengths his campaign went to save money in the third quarter. For example: The campaign bought office furniture from Craigslist, took over 300 UberX rides, and traveled on budget airlines including Frontier, Southwest, Jet Blue and Spirit.

Rubio for President currently has statewide campaign leaders in over 40 states, five field offices and a national headquarters, and 54 full-time staffers including paid field staff in five states.
