This is a major part of our RTO international trade activity, and in light of the summer we have had, the show will have special significance, communicating just how resilient our excellent tourism businesses are, and that we are open for business as usual. Further information pending, for now please visit TCDC and Business.govt.nz Marketing Support Beyond visitor safety our immediate priority was advocating for business support. We continue to work key media, marketing and trade channels to provide updates and reiterate we're open for business with ideal travelling routes. For this moment in time DHC has released Welcome to our World, a creative piece delivered by local talent. We have leveraged all opportunities to adapt and respond and continue to follow leads with the likes of Tourism New Zealand, media partners and advertising agencies. We will continue to turn the tide on coverage, seeking to profile Hauraki Coromandel in a positive light. Roading Support For now, we are communicating signage and wayfinding priorities. We had some success with Google Maps and redirecting traffic around SH25. Hauraki District Council are working with NZTA Waka Kotahi to clearly inform travellers of their options from Paeroa, to travel the SH25 loop via Thames or Waihi. We had been informed that visitors were still being directed to Kopu to visit destinations such as Tairua, before being redirected back to Waihi via Paeroa. Please keep us posted if you’re hearing similar stories as we all seek to make travel instructions clearer. It seemed like ages ago that we responded to the Kopu-Hikuai closure with an updated map. With travel resuming this map returns to relevance and is available for you and your guests.
