Industry Update - Covid19 #2
Calling all event organisers....
Yesterday Jacinda Ardern made the announcement that gatherings of 500 or more held either indoors or outdoors should be cancelled to “limit the potential spread of the virus."
With this announcement, along with the 14-day self-isolation requirement for all arrivals (excluding those traveling from the Pacific Island) to New Zealand, we have seen a number of events in The Coromandel cancelled or postponed.
The New Zealand Events Association (NZEA) is your independent events industry body that lead, celebrate and stand up for every aspect of the events sector and they need our support.
NZEA is working closely with the central government in order to assess what kind of sector support may be required regarding the current COVID-19 situation impacting the events industry.
We would appreciate if you could spend a few minutes of your time to complete this survey so NZEA can get a sense of COVID-19’s impact on the events sector to date and share these insights with the government.
Please click here to take the survey
The more information they can get, the more specific and effective they can be in the advocacy for the sector. Please feel free to share this survey with other industry professionals.
Please complete your feedback in the survey by COB Wednesday 18 March
We'd also ask that you make contact with Destination Coromandel to ensure all event details (including updated event dates) can be amended on www.thecoromandel.com.
We appreciate this is an incredibly challenging and frustrating time. Please do not hesitate to contact Destination Coromandel with any queries or concerns.
