Helsinki offers a wide selection of cultural, arts and sports events throughout the competition week.
Figure skating and performing arts both combine physical performance and emotional expression in a way that is capable of reaching the very last rows in the arena – and the very soul of the spectator. These natural similarities inspired the Figure Skating World Championships to establish relationship with the Finnish National Theatre. In this way we are building a bridge between art and sport.
Koko kisaviikon ajan Helsinki tarjoaa laajasti kulttuuria, taidetta ja urheilua.
Taitoluistelussa sekä esittävässä taiteessa yhdistyvät fyysinen suoritus sekä tunteiden välittäminen viimeiselle penkkiriville asti – suoraan katsojan sieluun. Nämä luontevat yhtymäkohdat saivat taitoluistelun MM-kilpailut tekemään yhteistyötä Suomen Kansallisteatterin kanssa. Tällä tavalla rakennamme siltaa kulttuurin ja urheilun välille.

For the centenary of Finnish independence in 2017, the FNT opens its season on the Main Stage with a true classic, William Shakespeare’s powerful Macbeth. In a fresh new interpretation by director Janne Reinikainen, Antti Luusuaniemi and Katariina Kaitue take the lead roles.
Shakespeare’s tragedy demonstrates how one man’s actions can release irrepressible forces that spin out of control. Caught in this vicious circle is a self-appointed tyrant. Nature’s crowning glory is a false king in borrowed robes. He is convinced he can govern the natural order, but nature is bent on revenge. Read more!

Klassikkoteoksessa yhden ihmisen valinnat kertautuvat ja sysäävät liikkeelle voimia, joita ei voi enää pysäyttää. Welcome to the figure skating event of the century! Each competition day of this unique event offers unforgettable experiences, whether you come by yourself or in a group.
The week of the World Championships begins with the exciting ladies' short program, where these stunningly expressive performers vie for the best positions going into the free skating. A magnificent opening show unlike anything we have seen before - with 400 performers taking part on the ice - followed by the breathtakingly acrobatic pairs short program rounds off the opening day. Tickets for the opening day start from 26.50 euros, children's tickets from 16.50 euros.
You can get a head start on the event by observing the future world champions as they practice before the actual competition. Tickets to practices can be purchased throughout the week for 25/15 euros.

Tule mukaan vuosisadan taitoluistelutapahtumaan. Jokainen kisapäivä tarjoaa unohtumattomia elämyksiä sinulle, tulitpa sitten yksin tai ryhmässä seuraamaan ainutlaatuista tapahtumaa.
MM-viikon avaa jännittävä naisten lyhytohjelma, jossa nähdään upeaa tunteikasta ilmaisua ja ratkotaan lähtökohdat vapaaohjelmaan. Avajaispäivän täydentää näyttävä, lähes 400 esiintyjän avajaisshow, jollaista ei taitoluistelujäillä ole ennen nähty sekä akrobaattisia nostoja sisältävä pariluistelu. Liput avajaispäivään alkaen 26,50 euroa, lasten liput alkaen 16,50 euroa.
Varaslähdön kisatapahtumiin voit ottaa seuraamalla tulevien maailmanmestarien harjoituksia ennen varsinaisia kisatapahtumia. Harjoituksia pääset seuraamaan läpi viikon 25/15 euron hintaan.
