The Canada-Ontario Agreement outlines how the federal and provincial governments coordinate their efforts to protect and conserve the Great Lakes ecosystem. This summer GBA put together an extensive submission to address issues and action items in the agreement as they relate to Georgian Bay.

GBBR, Shawanaga First Nation, Magnetawan First Nation, and GBLT Collaboration Receives Federal Support for a Coastal Conservation Project

GBA wishes to congratulate Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve (GBBR), Shawanaga First Nation, Magnetawan First Nation and Georgian Bay Land Trust (GBLT) on receiving a $1.95 million Environment and Climate Change Canada grant to help protect species at risk and their habitats.

GBA lost a great friend and supporter this summer. Karl Schiefer was a tireless volunteer and expert advisor to GBA on fisheries, water quality and aquaculture issues.
