ANNOUNCING SUPPORT FOR SMARTGLASSES ANDROID PLATFORM

And SFU/MCU Engines Coming Soon for IceLink

With the global augmented reality market projected to hit $90 billion by 2020, wearable Android-powered digital glasses, or SmartGlasses, are becoming increasingly sought-after for business applications worldwide.

Frozen Mountain is proud to announce support for two popular SmartGlasses models, the Vuzix M300 and ODG R-7, with plans to support additional models in 2017

Both IceLink and WebSync support the two SmartGlasses, allowing you to utilize the hardware with your iRTC application built using our SDKs.

There are also possibilities to create augmented and mixed reality applications using the glasses. Organizations such as NASA are currently using IceLink with SmartGlasses as a tool to enable communication between staff in the field and staff in the office while also reducing the usage of paper manuals and documentation.

You can read more about SmartGlasses support on our blog.

SFU and MCU for IceLink!

Creating selective forwarding and mixing applications is possible with IceLink today, but these exciting server-based features will available as products - coming June 2017!

Selective forwarding (SFU) and mixing (MCU) engines allow you to take a WebRTC-based call from the traditional P2P approach, and move it to a server-based environment. This provides scalability for number of participants, reduces bandwidth and makes re-transmission for merged stream recording, VOIP/PSTN and Content Delivery Networks possible.

Stay tuned for more updates as we'll be rolling out these exciting IceLink add-ons in the coming months!

We thank all of you for your continued interest and support of Frozen Mountain!
