The event showcases inspiring case studies from leading destinations across the globe, highlighting how tourism can be a powerful force for positive environmental, cultural, social, and economic change. As part of this year’s program, Destination Hauraki Coromandel shares GOOD FOR YOUR SOUL - Kaitiaki, a local tourism initiative that demonstrates how travel can deliver meaningful benefits to communities and the planet. Casey Owen, Destination Executive at Destination Hauraki Coromandel says, “We’re excited to share GOOD FOR YOUR SOUL - Kaitiaki on the world stage. By integrating it into the local tourism system, we’re making it easy for every visitor, business, and event to leave a positive legacy for our environment. This approach is creating a regenerative model where tourism actively supports Hauraki Coromandel's biodiversity”. This year marks the second edition of 24 Hours of Travel Innovation with presentations spanning Canada, the United States, Europe, New Zealand, and Australia. Over 27 interviews with destination leaders are available free of charge, creating a lasting knowledge hub for the tourism industry.
