Australian Postgraduate Awards (APA) and University of Sydney Postgraduate Awards (UPA)
Australian Postgraduate Awards (APA) and University of Sydney Postgraduate Awards (UPA) are scholarships to assist with general living costs and are awarded to students of exceptional research potential to undertake a higher degree by research at this university.  Eligible APA applicants will be automatically considered for both awards. The University awards these scholarships twice a year. Round Two is now open and is for admission to research period 3 or 4, i.e. July to October, of the same calendar year.  Applicants must be an Australian citizen, permanent residents, New Zealand citizen or a holder of a VISA that allows the applicant to enrol as a domestic student. 2016 stipend rate is $26,288 and will be indexed yearly.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Dementia in community health services

A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably qualified candidate with a degree in occupational therapy or other relevant allied health degree. This study is part of a dementia implementation project and will employ qualitative methodologies to explore the role of organisations, consumers and the implementing occupational therapists and nurses in adopting and sustaining an evidence-based program. The applicant must be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or New Zealand citizen. The scholarship is valued at $34,000 p.a for 2 years with possible extension of 6-12 months.

Postgraduate Scholarship in Cardiovascular outcomes after kidney transplantation
A full-time postgraduate scholarship is available for a suitably qualified candidate with a degree in Medicine to undertake research studies leading to a PhD. The project aims to look at cardiovascular outcomes after kidney transplantation utilizing data from the Australian and New Zealand Dialysis and Transplantation registry (ANZDATA). Applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens. The scholarship is valued at $38,488 p.a for up to 3 years.

A 24-month scholarship commencing on 30th May, 2016, is available for a suitably qualified candidate to undertake research leading to a PhD in Diet and obesity in youth of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Applicants should have an Honours or Masters degree in Public Health Nutrition, is from Vietnam, and had previous experience conducting research on diet and obesity in youth, preferably with experience in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The scholarship is valued at $30,000 p.a. for 2 years..

A.T. Kearney is a leading global management consulting firm, operating in more than 40 countries. The A.T. Kearney Women’s Scholarship is intended to assist with the costs of study and professional development. The winner will be provided with up to $15,000 to support educational expenses, the opportunity to intern at one of our Australian offices and mentorship from a senior female consultant. To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, you must be a female student in your second to penultimate year of study (Bachelor’s degree or non-MBA advanced degree) and a citizen or permanent resident of Australia or New Zealand.
