No images? Click here A word from StephCan you believe it is the end of 2020? At times I didn’t know if it would ever end. And then all of a sudden here we are. Preparing this message has made me stop and reflect on a few things as the year draws to a close. I want to acknowledge everyone who has been directly and severely impacted by the events of 2020. People working on the frontline. People who have lost or haven’t been able to see their loved ones. People who have lost their job or had to close their business. And then, really… everyone. Everyone has felt the impacts of this year in one way or another. I go into the end of the year feeling grateful, optimistic and a little bit tired. I am grateful to live in a country with a great healthcare system and to finally see my extended family over the break. I am tired from the constant changes this year has brought. I am optimistic about the promise of a new year. I have been in the Workplaces Lead role for two months now, and getting to know our members, be involved in sector development, hold our first virtual meeting, and launch our Think Piece series are just some of the things I am most proud of. 2021 is looking exciting for WayAhead Workplaces. In February, we will be holding our usual members’ meeting. In April, we will have our “COVID- one year on” event for members to come together and share learnings on how the pandemic has changed the workplace as we know it. In June, we will also have our Annual Members' Forum, hopefully in person! Thank you all for engaging with our program and as always, please reach out if you have ideas or questions. We look forward to connecting and continuing our work on workplace wellbeing in the new year. Have a beautiful break.
