INFRACO ASIA LATEST HIGHLIGHTS

Risk and compliance workshops with developer teams

The serious business of compliance and risk management was made lively and engaging as InfraCo Asia’s three developer services program teams came together to participate in a collaborative workshop.

InfraCo Asia’s South Asia team, Equicap Asia; South East Asia team, Infunde Development and Myanmar team, Infra Capital Myanmar assembled in Singapore on Thursday 11 August.

A full day session covered the pitfalls inherent in the project landscape of emerging Asia, and requisite precautions.

A specialist third party service provider delivered an anti-bribery and corruption session, while InfraCo Asia personnel covered the use of a risk register.

Alice Chapple of the Private Infrastructure Development Group took developers through a session on results monitoring and impact assessment.

Theory of Change Workshop

InfraCo Asia was also the latest facility of the Private Infrastructure Development Group to experience a Theory of Change workshop with Alice Chapple. The 10 August session was designed to ensure maximum alignment between InfraCo Asia’s vision and output. InfraCo Asia’s role mitigating early stage risk and paving the way for private sector investment along with sustainable development for positive social and economic impact are essential priorities. Taking the time to step back and evaluate impact brought refreshing perspective to the InfraCo Asia team.

FROM THE CEO'S DESK

Thank you for reading the latest edition of Insights InfraCo Asia. It has been another busy and productive quarter.

Last week’s Compliance, Risk and Results Monitoring Training was the first opportunity we have had to bring our developer teams all together at InfraCo Asia’s Singapore headquarters. Our Myanmar, South Asia and South East Asia teams all deal in challenging environments, and have decades of collective experience in navigating the challenges of early stage infrastructure project development. It is crucial that even the most experienced teams review compliance requirements and refresh the processes they have in place to mitigate risk. Beyond this, the day enabled a fantastic peer-to-peer knowledge exchange and enthusiastic discussion of regional challenges and opportunities.

His role ensures all procurement, design, subcontracting, value engineering, scheduling of construction and commissioning activities are executed on time, within budget and in line with Quality and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards.
