Good morning, everyone! It's almost the end of June, pretty much everyone is officially out of (home) school, and the heat is HERE! As I mentioned before, I was blessed enough to spend weeks in Show Low, AZ, where it's 20 - 30 degrees cooler, but most importantly, as I was reminded last night, it cools off as soon as the sun goes down. Up in Show Low, a scorcher of a day is a high of 90, but as soon as the sun dips below the pine trees it's in the 80's and soon enough in the 70's. I would wake up to walk the dog with my beautiful bride in 60-degree weather, and it was GLORIOUS!
Last night, I took Barkley out for his evening walk around 10 PM, and it felt like I was walking straight into an oven. It was STILL 100 degrees outside! At 10 p.m.! This
morning? We took the dog for a walk, blessing our lucky stars that it was "only" 90 at 8 a.m. That, my friends, is why I now dream of that snowbird life... Enjoy Phoenix from October- May, then off we go to cooler climate.
Now, that used to not be an option. We've got kids! We're STUCK until the kids are in college. OR ARE WE?!?! With COVID-19, our local public school district is starting a completely virtual school. Our kids' current school is also offering a virtual option. As everyone knows, whether the kids even go back to school in August is up in the air. So, we may—just may—try to sneak away a bit more this year. Get out of the heat. Go somewhere where you can walk your dog in the afternoon, and they don't have to wear shoes (seriously, the pavement burns pooch feet so they
have to wear thick socks or shoes.) We'll see!
On the work side of things, the amazing attorneys we're working with are still thinking up new ways to help you, the consumer! They keep getting reports of ways big corporate companies are hurting the average American, and they keep filing cases, trying to help YOU out! Check out our investigations to see what's going on right now!
OK, on to some lawsuit and settlement updates!
That's all for now! Make it a GREAT week! Stay cool my friends!
Warm Regards,
