Breakthrough Technology Fellowship
The Breakthrough Tech Fellowship is a new program from Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation (Restoration) in partnership with The Marcy Lab School. The program will equip you with the skills, portfolio, and network necessary to navigate the job search and technical interview process. The program starts in February, apply here.
Career Training Programs at Educational Opportunity Center
Are you looking for a certification or vocational program? The EOC offers FREE programs. Some of their offerings include the Certified Nursing, Direct Support Professional, Security Guard Training and EMT Programs, to name a few. EOC Programs are offered at the Manhattan Educational Opportunity Center, Brooklyn Educational Opportunity Center and the Bronx Educational Opportunity Center.
Credit/No Credit at CUNY
Due to the growing health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, CUNY intends to extend the Spring 2020 Special COVID-19 Flexible Grading Policy to the Fall 2020 term.
Students in colleges that choose to allow the use of CR/NC grades will be able to opt-in to CR/NC grades for courses not explicitly excluded by their college.
The Credit/No Credit opt-in window will be open from December 24, 2020 – January 12, 2021. For instructions on how to opt-in, visit Your College’s Credit/No Credit Policy and How to Opt in.
HEAF is holding their Annual HEAF Winter Conference: Turning Ambitions into Real Outcomes. The HEAF Winter Conference will be held virtually from January 5-7, 2021. The goals of this Winter Conference is to:
· Provide opportunities for students to connect and build community
· Develop access to career-building opportunities while meeting and networking with a diverse group of professionals in various industries
· Continue to develop life skills such as self-advocacy, self-confidence in themselves, interviewing, etc.
