Postal applications to be removed

The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) is withdrawing postal applications. No new postal applications will be accepted from 30th June. Cheques and postal orders will also cease to be approved methods of payment. Read more

Construction support line notice

CSCS has reason to believe that Construction Support Line have entered insolvency. Until the position is clarified CSCS will no longer accept card applications received via Construction Support Line. Read more

New guidance on Irish qualifications

CSCS has issued new guidance on applicants holding Irish qualifications. CSCS will accept Irish qualifications from FETAC or QQI on the same basis as domestic qualifications. You can find out more about applying using overseas qualifications here.

Applying with the Occupational Work Supervision NVQ

CSCS has been contacted by a number of applicants who are having problems applying for a CSCS card using the Occupational Work Supervision NVQ/SVQ. CSCS has issued a clarification on applying for a card with this NVQ. Read more

CITB are updating the Health, safety and environment test from the 26th June 2019. The updates CITB are making are the result of two and half years of working with industry and experts in other fields to ensure that the HS&E test continues to be fair, valid and reliable. Read more

FIS offer 1-day upgrade courses

FIS are offering experienced dryliners and plasterers the chance to get an NVQ level 2 in only one day. This will enable these workers to obtain a blue skilled CSCS card. Funding and discounts are available. Read more
