Click here February Members MeetingWe're thrilled to kick off the new year with our second virtual members meeting on 24 February, 10am - 12pm AEDT.We'll be joined by guest speakers from Transitioning Well and The National Workplace Initiative.A word from StephTalking to a colleague recently, we were reflecting on how as a global society we are under immense pressure, and many people are experiencing trauma. Yet we are expected to continue to work at 100%. We are expected to be grateful for having a job at all, while the risks of the job have certainly increased for those working in health and wellbeing. How can we continue working at an unsustainable pace? Is it us who needs to reassess how we work and what we commit to, or is it the workplace that needs to readjust expectations? Maybe we need to collectively stop and give ourselves and each other permission to work at and deliver to 70% for a while. Wouldn't that be a sigh of relief. The promise of a new year might not bring everything we had hoped for, but certainly at WayAhead we have some terrific announcements that might help the new year feel a little bit less like groundhog day. For the first time, we are bringing our best-practice childhood anxiety program, Small Steps, to workplaces, and are offering WayAhead Workplaces members 75% off. Find out more about this program and how to request a session HERE. We also have our next member meeting scheduled for 24 February, our fourth think piece published, and planning for our 'COVID one year on' event underway (Members - don't forget your case studies are due back 5 February). But our most important announcement is the farewelling of Lynley Hurst, the Workplaces Program Officer. Lynley has been with WayAhead for three years and has done the most amazing job at bringing the program to where it is today. Her patience, passion and commitment will be sorely missed. Personally, I am going to miss Lynley immensely as she has been the most incredible support since I joined WayAhead back in October. So thank you Lynley! We are recruiting for a Workplaces Program Assistant, and WayAhead are recruiting for a number of other roles. View all vacancies HERE.
